Christmas Countdown

You might have noticed, and might be wondering why I started a Christmas countdown in the dead, thick heat of summer. Some things have changed, some things are still changing, and things will still be changing then...

An amazing opportunity has extended its hand to us and we, as a couple, have accepted. So many good things will come of this, so many blessings, so much stability, so much more than we have right now...but it requires a separation of sorts, for the next few six months. B will live there...and I will live here.

I am more than a little sad. B is more than a little determined. We are strong, we are happy, and we will be just fine, I have no doubt. I am just...a little more than a little sad.

By Christmas, the hard part of this amazing change and opportunity will be over. By that time we will be moving forward together, turning a new corner in our happy humble little lives, and a new sense of stability will set in. So I have started the countdown because I miss him already, and he hasn't quite left. But the counting down makes me feel like time is actually passing, I need it to pass quickly right now.

Julie, This is a fantastic picture!! And I have to say "I know how you feel" Pila and I (with my oldest two) had to spend a whole summer apart and it was hard, the kdis missed thier daddy and I missed him too....my advise to you is stay busy!! Call each other as often as possible and the distance won't seem so far. good luck!!

oh my Julie girl, I do know how you feel......it will be hard, but we do have some really good times to look forward to.
This will be just one more adventure and one more "remember when". I promise you that time will pass quickly and you will have much to look forward. I am glad that you and bug will be hanging out together, she will need you just as much as you need her. Hang in there and please don't be so sad.
...........that is a beautiful pix!

Julie, I know what you will go through, the Hubster and I were on different continents for almost 5 years before I moved here. Find yourselves a cheap calling plan, webcams if you can and talk, talk, talk. You will be surprised how the time will go and if it isn't, just think of us and at least it's not 5 years! :-)

It will be such a great opportunity for you guys and... absence REALLY DOES make the heart grow fonder. When we were first married Jason had to leave for weeks at a time and it was always hard but so great when he got home. Keep up with the positive attitude too. That will definitely help! Love you guys!
